A podcast on Hasina's fall and immediate aftermath
The last days of Hasina, formation of the new government, challenges before it, and violence against minority communities
In this episode of Nuraldeen podcast, I joined Rumi Ahmed, Ehtesham Haque and Shafiqur Rahman to discuss what has been happening in Bangladesh after Hasina fled on August 5th and an interim government was sworn in.
The episode was recorded on 16 August 2024. I mention that Hasina had fled on a helicopter to Agartala. We now know that this is not the case. It appears that a helicopter took her from Ganabhaban to the airport, and a Bangladesh Air Force cargo plane took her to New Delhi.

Jamat doesn't believe in violence against minorities? I don't know what coolaid you guys are on.
Also the whole islamism is a product of poor education thing is wrong. We know the core support base of islamism around the world comes from middle class educated Muslim households. Osama Bin Laden had a degree in civil engineering and was from a very rich family.
Islamism is not conservatism. It's a radical globalist ideology. The islamist in bangladesh don't want to conserve our religious culture, they're just Arab cosplayers.
