This podcast hosted by Nuraldeen discusses what has been happening in Bangladesh.
This podcast with Nuraldeen was recorded on Sunday 28 July. Events have moved on since then. On the one hand, killings, abductions, detainment and torture by the security forces and the regime’s henchmen continue. On the other hand, the protests continue to grow larger, with more and more people joining, seemingly by the hours, many of whom previously apolitical or even supportive of the regime. It seems that the demand has organically coalesced around to a call for Sheikh Hasina to step down.
Protests are scheduled to continue on 3 August Saturday, and a complete non-cooperation has been called from 4 August.
A zoom call is scheduled for diaspora Bangladeshis to express solidarity:

Key message from the organisers
Dear Probashi Bangladeshis
A magnificent history is being created right now in Bangladesh. People from all walks of life are coming out in the streets defying the murderous intimidation of the evil forces of the regime. All of our hearts are now in Bangladesh. We are very very unlucky that we are not able to be part of this beautiful history directly. However, the least we can do is to demonstrate to the world, solidarity of probashi Bangladeshis with our people in their quest for freedom and justice. A few days ago the Kamala Harris campaign in USA created history and global news by hosting a Zoom call by ladies that had 160,000 participants. We can do something similar right now. We are arranging a massive Zoom meeting that is open to all probashi Bangladeshis. We hope to have few songs rendered by well-known Bangladeshis, a few short speeches by famous online activists and a collective singing of our national anthem, Amar Sonar Bangla, by everyone in the meeting.
Let us come together to stand by our people. Let us come together to show that beyond all divisions of politics, religion, wealth, we are one people whose heart beats as Bangladeshis.
