The wish for 2022 was to make original mistakes — to try new stuff, and make whole new mistakes to learn from. The year that has just been has indeed been one of trying new stuff — a new way of making a living, learning new skills, and facing new challenges, both for myself and those I hold dearest.
And yet, both in personal life and professionally, the lesson of 2022 is clearly an old one: the importance of orthodox, healthy living. Watch what you eat, and be more active. Be mindful of negativity. Keep your public finances on a sustainable setting.
The wish for 2023 is overwhelmingly, resoundingly, for a healthier life: physically, emotionally, intellectually, socially, and financially.
I visited new places. And I visited old places with a new perspective. I read a lot, and didn’t have enough time to read. I watched fewer new stuff than I wished to. Notable mentions that may or may not be followed up with a piece at some point:
The posts on the economy were, unsurprisingly, the most read in 2022. There will be more economic analysis, and political too, in 2023. Well, that’s the expectation. Time will tell.
In the meantime, enjoy the last few hours of with additional reading:
